About Us
CASF is a non-profit organization whose members are from all aspects of the construction industry.  Our members include general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals and other professionals, such as attorneys and accountants - each with a vested interest in the building industry.

Membership in CASF is synonymous with the construction industry in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.  With over 400 members, our network of professionals makes the Construction Association of South Florida one of the leading and most outstanding construction-related organizations in the region.  The Association's programs, services and benefits make it an invaluable business investment; one that provides a participating member's company a return far greater than the price of membership.  Involvement in the Construction Association of South Florida places any participating firm among the leading professionals in the field.

Mission: To serve the South Florida Construction Industry by providing its members with opportunities to develop relationships, share information, obtain business from a trusted network and support local communities.

- Facilitate longstanding relationships between members.
- Communicate pertinent information relative to the construction industry.
- Provide education opportunities to the membership.
- Promote and recognize quality craftsmanship.
- Elevate awareness of safety in the workplace.
- Enhance and promote careers in the skilled trades.

The organization was established in 1950 as the Broward Builders Exchange by a group of professionals who were concerned with the well-being of Broward's construction industry.  From the beginning, members have met to increase their business contacts and discuss the various aspects of the building business.

Over time, the exchange grew to include a number of construction firms from neighboring South Florida counties.  At the same time, the goals of the group broadened to encompass a wider range of membership activities, including professional development through education and active participation in government affairs.

By 1991, the founding name no longer accurately described the group's geographic representation, its activities or its accomplishments.  Thus, a new name, the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF), was defined to communicate the scope and involvement of the organization.  CASF is an organization concerned with the future well-being of the building industry throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
